We are pleased to be able to confirm details of a Level 1 and Level 2 Basketball England Coaching Course that will run during April 2018.
What’s the difference between the two courses?
The Level 1 course is considered the basic level if you’re starting out in basketball coaching. It’s great if you already have a club coach and you’re planning to work alongside them in a school or coaching environment. This qualification enables you to assist other coaches in delivering sessions.
You will need to be under supervision and it is a supporting role.
Whilst the Level 2 course is a 4-day course providing candidates with all the knowledge they require to coach unsupervised at a local level. It will give you the skills to prepare, deliver and review coaching sessions for mixed ability players.
The course will be co-taught due to the overlapping nature of several of the units, you can see the individual units that make up the course in the table below:

Level Two Basketball Coaching Course
Date: Friday 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th April 2018, 6.00pm – 10.00pm
Cost: £125.00

Note: Some candidates may need to be assessed of Saturday 21st or Saturday 28th April.
