NBL Preview – Under 16s versus Bristol

Dorset Storm Basketball Club National League Under 16s Preview versus Bristol Academy March 2013 1Dorset Storm Under 16s have their final game of their season this Saturday, as they make the journey to take on league champions Bristol Academy Flyers.

Storm head into the game having showed everybody what they are capable of, putting in a series of top quality displays in 2013, something that lead coach Luke Kemish was quick to point out:

“We lost last weekend, but we still played well.  In the end their size and experience saw them home… we didn’t do a lot wrong on reality.

We have been getting better and better offensively, as we would expect.  Defense is the key for us.  We can play at a level, which will stop any team playing fluently.  We have to want to do for the whole game and work relentlessly, I think we are right now one of the most dynamic defensive teams in the league.”

Storm, will be looking to work hard at training this week to add the final touches to what has been a pleasing campaign. Dorset Storm Basketball Club National League Under 16s Preview versus Bristol Academy March 2013 2 It would be hard to pick a more improved team than Storm, but Saturday will be the ultimate test for the Dorset based team.

Bristol have size, quickness as well as a host of players that can shoot which makes them a tough match up for any team.  Storm will take note though, that Bristol have been beaten on their home court and on the back of their recent good form truly believe that they can compete with any team in the league. Kemish too, believes that the players will be ready for this final challenge:

“We have been trying to get the players to be aggressive, to hunt in packs defensively.  We are training really well and playing with confidence, we have worked on being a tough team to break down defensively, nobody has found it easy to score on us in 2013, now we have to make Bristol struggle too.” Kemish explained.
